Boosting Your Google My Business Listing
This week I want to talk about other strategies to boosting the ranking of your Google My Business listing. Citations and NAP are a foundational starting point.
Once you get listed on the local leading directories and you have made sure that your NAP (Name, Address and Phone Number) is consistent across the board, it’s time to move on.
You need to move on to the ABC’s of SEO, that is creating website authority by building backlinks, and creating content.
Regular organic SEO plays a critical role in Google local rankings. So your online business strategy should continue to focus on good organic SEO.
In addition to the ABC’s of SEO, you want to acquire as many customer reviews on your Google My Business listing as possible.
According to a study done by Moz.com, online reviews make up about 10% of the local ranking factors for Google local results.
So there you have it, in order to rank your Google My Business listing at the top of Google you need to build citations, website authority, back links, content and acquire reviews. Simple enough right.
